NO MUSEU MEMORIAL DO RS
Amelio Robles, o primeiro transsexual do México, chegou ao posto de coronel nas tropas revoltosas. As Soldaderas (nomes das mulheres que lutavam na revolução) foram queimadas vivas por Pancho Villa.
Essas são algumas das personagens que ganham representação na exposição “Adelitas”, de Cinthya Verri, que terá seu vernissage no próximo dia 9 de março, a partir das 16h, no Memorial do RS.
A mostra registra a produção de Cinthya inspirada nas Adelitas (ou Soldaderas), mulheres que tomaram de armas no início do século 20 para lutarem pela Revolução Mexicana (1910).
“Adelitas” faz parte da programação que o Memorial preparou para a Semana da Mulher (detalhes em facebook.com/memorial.do.rs/).
Além de pinturas em pano e em vidro e mosaicos, Cinthya vai expor dezenas de cabeças em tamanho natural, feitas de parafina e areia, criadas a partir de moldes colhidos de mulheres voluntárias, lembrando o sacrifício das 60 Soldaderas queimadas vivas por Pancho Villa.
Também na programação do vernissage, um pocket show em que a artista interpreta clássicos do folclore mexicano do tempo das Adelitas.
Cinthya Verri, 38 anos, é artista visual, médica, dramaturga, escritora e comunicadora. Seja no ateliê, no consultório ou nos meios de comunicação, sua ação é marcada pela contemporaneidade e pela exploração de vieses inéditos.
Em 2017, a Andreus Galeria, em São Paulo, recebeu mosaicos, couros, gravuras e telas de sua exposição "Baby Doll - Toda Mulher pode ser uma boneca". A inspiração foram os manequins de silicone ultrarrealistas que servem para fins sexuais e a febre entre as adolescentes japonesas de se vestirem e comportarem segundo estereótipos femininos.

ADELITAS
AT THE MEMORIAL MUSEUM OF RIO GRANDE DO SUL
Amelio Robles, Mexico's first transsexual, arrived at the rank of colonel in the revolting troops. The Soldaderas (names of the women fighting in the revolution) were burned alive by Pancho Villa.
These are some of the characters that gain representation in the exhibition "Adelitas", by Cinthya Verri, which will have its vernissage on March 9, from 16h, at the Memorial of RS.
The show records the production of Cinthya inspired by the Adelitas (or Soldaderas), women who took up arms in the early 20th century to fight for the Mexican Revolution (1910).
“Adelitas” is part of the schedule that the Memorial Museum prepared for Women's Week (details on facebook.com/memorial.do.rs/).
In addition to cloth and glass paintings and mosaics, Cinthya will exhibit dozens of life-size paraffin and sand heads created from molds taken from volunteer women, recalling the sacrifice of the 60 live burned women soldiers by Pancho Villa.
Also in the programming of the vernissage, a pocket show in which the artist plays classics of Mexican folklore from the time of the Adelitas.
Cinthya Verri, 38, is a visual artist, doctor, playwright, writer and communicator. Whether in the studio, in the office or in the media, its action is marked by contemporaneity and the exploration of unprecedented biases.
In 2017, Andreus Galeria, in São Paulo, received mosaics, leathers, prints and canvas from its exhibition "Baby Doll - Every Woman Can Be a Doll". The inspiration was the ultra-realistic silicone mannequins that serve for sexual purposes and the fever among Japanese teenagers to dress and behave according to female stereotypes.
